Environmental Action Projects: What, Why, How...
Environment Education has been introduced as a compulsory subject at school and college level. Most school board and colleges have also introduced compulsory Project Work for students. Hands-on projects enrich the students experiences and help them understand the subject better.
What are Environmental Action Projects?
Environmental action projects are projects that:
- Involve those activities through which students work to tackle an environmental problem or issue, or to improve their immediate environment.
- May be relatively simple-e.g., starting a campaign to keep the school clean, or complex-e.g., involving a neighbourhood community in a garbage management project.
- May be undertaken within the formal curricular framework, or as an extra or co-curricular activity. Read more ... Why Action Projects; Selecting and Monitoring a Project; Educational Aspects etc
